Children's Services Clerk

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic clerk to be the newest member of the Kids Room team. Clerks work evenings and weekends to maintain the appearance of the department and handle clerical tasks. This job requires basic computer knowledge, the ability to do detailed work accurately and independently, and a commitment to keeping the department organized and clean. The job entails working with the public and an interest in being around children. Experience working with children preferred, and a willingness to be flexible and helpful is required.
This opening is a year-round, part-time position averaging 11.5 hours per week, including Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-9:15 p.m., plus one Saturday and one Sunday per month from 1:00-5:15 p.m. The salary is $12.00 per hour.

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic shelver for our customer centric Circulation team. Shelvers monitor the automatic materials sorter, shelve materials, keep materials in order, perform closing procedures, and other tasks as needed.
We are looking for candidates who have the ability to:
- file alphabetically and numerically accurately
- do detail work accurately
- prioritize and multitask in a detailed environment
- walk and stand for extended periods
- lift materials and push carts loaded with books
- adapt well to technological changes
This position is a year-round, part-time position averaging 16 hours per week, including Mondays 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Tuesdays 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., Fridays 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday rotation of four-hour shifts. The salary is $10.20 per hour.

Adult and Teen Services Library Assistant - Two Openings

We are looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented individual with outstanding people and communication skills, strong computer skills, and excellent attention to detail to become the newest member of the library’s Adult & Teen Services Department.
Duties include providing reference and readers' advisory service to the public, assisting the public in using the collection, and assisting librarians with collection development, programming, and other duties.
There are openings for two year-round, part-time positions, each averaging twenty hours per week, including afternoons, alternating weekends, and evenings. The sslary is $16.00 per hour.
