Adult & Teen Services Library Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented individual with outstanding people and communication skills; an interest in or familiarity with adult and teen literature; strong computer skills; and excellent attention to detail to become the newest member of the library’s Adult & Teen Services Department as an Adult & Teen Services Library Assistant.
The Adult & Teen Services Assistant is primarily responsible for providing reference and readers' advisory service to the public; assisting the public in using the library’s digital and print resources; and assisting librarians with collection development, programming, and other duties.
This is a year-round, part-time position. The Library Assistant will be scheduled for afternoons, Fridays, alternating weekends, and some evening hours at an average of twenty hours per week. Hourly pay is from $16.00, depending on qualifications.

The library accepts volunteer applications, which are kept on file for six months. There are a limited number of volunteer positions available and when an opening occurs, the applications in the file are checked for appropriate candidates to be interviewed for the position.
